Why any old jersey will not do
Rugby is played by grabbing.
A basketball jersey weighs 150 g and nobody touches it. A rugby jersey stands up to tackles, scrums and hands pulling at it for 80 minutes. That is why we make it differently.
220 gsm knit
Against the 150 g of a multi-sport jersey. The fabric does not give when they grab you.
Coverstitch seam
A flat, reinforced seam. It is the one that does not open in contact and does not chafe inside.
Two-piece collar
With an inner seam cover. It stands up to being pulled and does not chafe at the neck.
Raglan sleeve
A free shoulder to pass, tackle and lift in the lineout without the sleeve pulling.
